Yesterday I did ultrasound of my abdomen. The impression given is as under: Hepatomegaly with fatty infiltration. Cholelithiasis. Features of Cystitis. Significant post void urine. Bladder distended. Wall thickening noted. Prevoid 460 ml post void 70 ml. What does this mean
Hello, thanks for writing in. I will try and simplify the report for you. Hepatomegaly with fatty infiltration- enlarged liver size, with deposition of fat. Cholelithiasis- stones within the gall bladder. Cystitis- inflammation of the wall of the urinary bladder, with wall thickening and bladder is not emptying completely, with small amount residual urine.
Currently, the fatty liver and cholelithiasis are not to worry about. Do consult a physician for the cystitis, as it needs treatment. Hope this is helpful. Write in if you have any doubts. Take care.
